Parc Natural dels Ports World Wetlands Day at Cal Tet, Llobregat Delta Bird Census

day February 2, World Wetlands Day marks the date of adoption of the Convention on Wetlands, 2 February 1971. Since 1997, every year, government agencies, NGOs and groups of citizens at all levels take advantage the opportunity to perform acts and activities with the intention of raising a little closer to citizens about wetland values \u200b\u200band benefits and this year we reported the Local Group SEO-Barcelona has decided to join the celebration with excitement and the same intentions as described above.

was held on Saturday January 29, 2010, a census of birds hibernating in various areas of the Delta del Llobregat, currently excluded from protected areas.

The Llobregat Delta is the largest wetland area in Europe not included in the Ramsar Convention, the international convention framework for action for the conservation and wise use of wetlands.
